Easy Bread Recipe (WITHOUT Sourdough Starter)

Don't make sourdough or have a sourdough starter yet?

Are you also tired of all of the unnecessary chemicals in store-bought bread?

I'll show you how to make an easy loaf of bread without a sourdough starter!

This bread take less than 3 hours total!

Ingredients:

2 1/4 tsp Active Dry Yeast

1 1/2 c Filtered Water

3 Tbsp Sugar

1/2 tsp Salt

3 c Unbleached All-Purpose Flour (or bread flour)

You'll also need:

Stoneware or a Cast Iron Skillet

How to do it:

1. Combine your water and your yeast in a bowl. Let sit for 5 minutes.

2. Combine remaining ingredients together in your stand mixer on low speed for about 1-2 minutes. Make sure when adding flour, you add about 1/2 cup at a time, mixing well in between additions.

3. Cover bowl, set aside and let it rest for 2 hours.

4. Preheat your oven to 425 degrees F.

5. Roll your dough onto a floured surface, and fold dough about 3-4 times.

6. Place your dough onto a stone (yes, stoneware and cast iron are the premium choices when making bread), and let it rest again for about 20 minutes.

7. Place an oven-safe container filled with water on the rack below your bread.

8. Bake for 22-25 minutes depending on how you like the crust on your bread.

9. Remove from oven, slice, serve and enjoy!
